Introducing Our New Principal

Louisa Paston has joined Solent Academies Trust as the new Principal of Luminous Oak Academy, our new school in Boorley Green that opens in Autumn 2026. 

With eight years’ experience as a school leader, Louisa is passionate about creating the right environment for children to feel safe, supported and confident in their learning. 

Louisa said, "My connection to Solent Academies Trust is both professional and personal. As a parent within the Trust, I have seen first-hand the compassion and creativity that drive its schools. I feel truly privileged to be able to join the trust as Principal of Luminous Oak Academy. With our staff and pupils, we will develop a place where nurture and ambition sit side by side a warm, calm and purposeful community. I am excited to build a school where children feel safe, celebrated and encouraged to grow in confidence and independence, and where families feel held, welcomed and genuinely understood." 

Sharon Burt, CEO Solent Academies Trust said, "I am delighted Louisa is joining us. Louisa is an experienced school leader, most recently in a school in Southampton for children with social, emotional and mental health needs and is also a parent to one of our wonderful pupils. 

Louisa will be meeting new pupils who will be joining Lumionous Oak Academy and their families over the coming months. She will also be further developing partnerships and links across Boorley Green and Eastleigh."
